Manmohan Technical University has honored its former LLM (Master of Laws) students in the field of law and warmly welcomed newly admitted students through an orientation program.
The University’s Manmohan Institute of Law organized the event on Saturday, where outstanding students from the first batch of the LLM in Criminology program were awarded cash prizes. At the same time, newly enrolled students were formally welcomed and oriented.
Speaking at the program held in Biratnagar, Dr. Rekha Shrestha, Dean of the School of Applied Science, Technology and Law, reaffirmed the University’s commitment to quality education, timely examinations, and prompt publication of results in accordance with the curriculum. She also encouraged students to focus not only on academic success but also on research and specialization in law.
Koshraj Neupane, Principal of the Institute, highlighted that the University’s strong emphasis on quality education has attracted a growing number of students to its law programs from the very beginning. He further shared that the University is collaborating with international institutions to produce competent legal professionals and is planning to introduce a PhD program in law in the near future.
Faculty member and criminologist Keshav Raj Pant noted that the academic performance of the first LLM batch exceeded expectations. Similarly, examination expert Yubraj Chaudhary emphasized the University’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the integrity of examinations and ensuring timely publication of results.
Top-performing students Ramsufal Sada and Rajesh Timsina expressed their appreciation for both the academic environment and examination system at the University.
During the program, 30 newly admitted students in the LLM (Criminal Law) program were welcomed and provided with orientation on the University’s academic, examination, and management systems. The University also awarded NPR 48,000 each to the top three students of the first semester of the first LLM batch—Ramsufal Sada (first), Lovaraj Ghimire (second), and Rajesh Timsina (third). In addition, meritorious student Sanjay Kumar Yadav received a cash gift-back scholarship of NPR 11,000 from the Principal.
Established by the Government of Koshi Province, Manmohan Technical University, through its School of Applied Science, Technology and Law, continues to expand quality legal education by offering undergraduate programs in Management Law and postgraduate programs in Criminal Law.
