Basic Concepts of Earthquake Resistance and Quality Control of RCC Structures

A three-day training program entitled "Basic Concepts of Earthquake Resistance and Quality Control of RCC Structures" was successfully conducted from 17–19 July 2026 in school of Engineering. Manmohan Technical University. The training aimed to strengthen participants' knowledge of earthquake-resistant construction practices, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), reinforced cement concrete (RCC) technology, material testing, and professional ethics.The program combined classroom lectures, practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and a field visit. Renowned experts including Dr. Rekha Shrestha and Er. Jagadishwar Man Shrestha facilitated the sessions, sharing both theoretical knowledge and practical experiences related to earthquake-resistant construction and quality management.Participants:  Students from 8th semester students, Engineers from Dharan SubmetroPolitian city, Engineers from Sangurigadhi rural municipality, Manmohan material testing lab technicians and engineer, Manmohan technical University SoE faculties.The objectives of the training were to:Enhance understanding of earthquakes and their impacts on buildings in Nepal.Strengthen knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in RCC construction.Improve participants' understanding of RCC materials and concrete technology.Familiarize participants with material testing methods and non-destructive testing techniques.Promote coordination among architects, structural engineers, and geotechnical engineers.Encourage ethical engineering practices and professional responsibility

विश्वविद्यालयको स्कुल अफ इन्जिनियरिङका प्रशासन प्रमुख महेश राईका अनुसार  विश्वविद्यालयमा चारवर्षे स्नातक इन्जिनियरिङ अध्ययन गरेका पहिलो समूहबाट इन्जिनियरको लाइसेन्सका लागि परीक्षा दिने कुल १७ जना  विद्यार्थीहरूमध्ये ८२ दशमलव ३५ प्रतिशत अर्थात् १४ जना विद्यार्थीहरु उत्तीर्ण भएका छन् । विश्वविद्यालयबाट चारवर्षे स्नातक इन्जिनियरिङको परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण गरी परिषद्बाट लाइसेन्स प्राप्त गर्न सफल विद्यार्थीहरूले अब व्यावसायिक रूपमा पनि इन्जिनियरिङ सेवा गर्न पाउनेछन्।  परीक्षाविज्ञ इन्जिनियर युवराज चौधरीकाे अनुसार मनमोहन विश्वविद्यालबाट  पहिलोपटक  इन्जिनियरिङ परिषद्को परीक्षा दिनेहरूमा सिभिलतर्फ १३ जनामा ११ जनाले र इलेक्ट्रिक एन्ड इलेक्ट्राेनिक्सतर्फ चारजनामा तीनजना पहिलो पटकमै  उत्तीर्ण भएर इन्जिनियरको लाइसेन्स प्राप्त गर्न सफल भएका छन्। परिषद्को परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण गरेर इन्जिनियरको लाइसेन्स पाउने विद्यार्थीहरुमा सिभिलतर्फ अविनाश कुमार साह, अमितकुमार यादव, अनिशा रुचाल, अंशु रौनियार, फनिस कटुवाल,हरि पौडेल, एमडी अबु मिया सुफियान, निर्मला दाहाल, सुदर्शन गिरी, शुभुप्रभात काफ्ले र उमेश यादव छन्। यसैगरी, इलेक्ट्रिक एन्ड इलेक्ट्रोनिक्सतर्फ  रोशनकुमार मेहथा, विश्वप्रसाद साह र लवनारायण राजवंशी छन्। कोशी प्रदेश सकारले २०७६ मा स्थापना गरेको देशकै पहिलो मनमोहन प्राविधिक विश्वविद्यालयले २०७८ देखि स्कुल अफ इन्जिनियरिङतर्फ सिभिल र इलेक्ट्रिक एन्ड इलेक्ट्रिोनिक्समा चारवर्षे स्नातक अध्यापन गराउन थालेको थियो। मोरङको बुढीगंगा गाउँपालिका-४, हात्तीमुढामा केन्द्रीय कार्यालय रहेको मनमोहन प्राविधिक विश्वविद्यालयले हाल इन्जिनियरिङ र फार्मेसीतर्फ स्नातक, कानुनमा पाँचवर्षे स्नातक र दुई स्नातोकोत्तर अनि हस्पिटल व्यवस्थापनमा स्नातकोत्तर विषय पठनपाठन गराइरहेकोे छ। साथै, विभिन्न आठवटा विषयमा तीनवर्षे डिप्लोमा पनि सञ्चालन गरिरहेको छ।

Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Introduction: Manmohan Technical University (MTU), Faculty of Engineering is offering this course to produce higher level technical manpower capable to undertake the works in the field of Civil Engineering. This curriculum is designed with the purpose of producing high level technical manpower equipped with knowledge and skills related to the field of Civil Engineering to meet national and international demand for economic and infrastructure development. The knowledge and skills incorporated in this curriculum will be helpful to deliver the individual, national and international needs in the field of Civil Engineering. Title of course: Bachelor in Civil Engineering (BCE). Program Objectives: The Curriculum has following objectives to: To train students in technical and analytical skills and prepare engineers who are capable of undertaking works in civil engineering field, a as Civil Engineer, under Road, Irrigation, Water supply, Urban Development and Building Construction and other civil infrastructures development related departments and sectors. Produce high level competent technical human resources in the field of civil engineering; Prepare technical workforce who will demonstrate positive attitude and respect for the profession and socio-cultural human values. Help in meeting the demand of qualified Civil Engineers for public and private infrastructure development sector in national and international field. Reduce the dependence on employing such engineers from foreign countries, Create self-employment opportunities with research activities. Duration: The total duration of this curricular program is Four years. Each year consists of two semesters of six months each. Moreover, one semester consists of 90 working days (15 academic weeks approximately) including evaluation period. Target group: The target group for this programme will be all interested individuals who passed (10 +2) class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 200 marks or equivalent or Diploma in Engineering. Eligibility and Admission: The admission procedure consists of an entrance examination conducted by MTU. To be eligible to appear in the entrance examination, the candidate must have a minimum score in (10+2) or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) examinations with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). OR Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C+ in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and minimum C in other subjects. Students who have completed (10+2) in Biology stream must have taken additional mathematics course and passed it with cumulative PCM of 50% or 2.4 GPA to be eligible for the indicated program. Selection: A candidate must pass the entrance examination conducted by the university and be selected on merit basis to enroll in the university. Medium of instruction: The medium of instruction will be in English except stated otherwise. Pattern of attendance: Minimum of 80% attendance in each subject is required to appear in the respective final examination. This curriculum is designed with the purpose of producing high level technical manpower equipped with knowledge and skills related to the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering to meet national and international demand for economic and infrastructure development. The knowledge and skills incorporated in this curriculum will be helpful to deliver the individual, national and international needs in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Title of course: Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEExE). Program Objectives: The Curriculum has following objectives to: produce graduates with a strong foundation in the basic sciences and mathematics that will enable them to identify and solve Electrical/Electronic Engineering problems. provide students with a solid foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering that prepares them for life-long careers and professional growth in fields of their choice. provide the basic skills to communicate effectively and to develop the ability to function as members of multi-disciplinary teams. provide a broad-based education so that they can appreciate diversity of opinion, better understand ethical issues, and develop a more global perspective. provide a relevant engineering design experience that is integrated across the four-year curriculum which will develop an understanding of the relationships between theory and practice. Program Objectives: The Curriculum has following objectives to: produce graduates with a strong foundation in the basic sciences and mathematics that will enable them to identify and solve Electrical Engineering problems. provide students with a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering that prepares them for life-long careers and professional growth in fields of their choice. provide the basic skills to communicate effectively and to develop the ability to function as members of multi-disciplinary teams. provide a broad-based education so that they can appreciate diversity of opinion, better understand ethical issues, and develop a more global perspective. provide a relevant engineering design experience that is integrated across the four-year curriculum which will develop an understanding of the relationships between theory and practice. Duration: The total duration of this curricular program is Four years. Each year consists of two semesters of six months each. Moreover, one semester consists of 90 working days (15 academic weeks approximately) including evaluation period. Target group: The target group for this programme will be all interested individuals who passed (10 +2) class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 200 marks or equivalent or Diploma in Engineering. Eligibility and Admission: The admission procedure consists of an entrance examination conducted by MTU. To be eligible to appear in the entrance examination, the candidate must have a minimum score in (10+2) or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) examinations with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). OR Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C+ in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and minimum C in other subjects. Students who have completed (10+2) in Biology stream must have taken additional mathematics course and passed it with cumulative PCM of 50% or 2.4 GPA to be eligible for the indicated program. Selection: A candidate must pass the entrance examination conducted by the university and be selected on merit basis to enroll in the university. Medium of instruction: The medium of instruction will be in English except stated otherwise. Pattern of attendance: Minimum of 80% attendance in each subject is required to appear in the respective final examination.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.
