Successful Completion of 10-Day Survey Camp for 6th Semester BE Civil Students in Ilam

The School of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University (MTU) successfully conducted the Survey Camp for 6th Semester Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) students, held in Karfok, Ilam from 21 February to 3 March 2026. The 10-day camp provided students with practical, hands-on training in surveying techniques, field measurements, and application of civil engineering concepts.The camp enabled students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, develop teamwork, and gain essential field experience critical for their professional growth. Faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department provided supervision and guidance throughout the program to ensure effective learning and skill development.MTU SOE extends its sincere thanks to all the faculty members involved for their dedicated mentorship and to the locals of Kafok, Ilam, for their warm hospitality and support during the camp.The School congratulates all participating students for their active engagement and successful completion of the survey camp, reaffirming MTU’s commitment to quality practical education and industry-ready skill development in engineering.

Dean participates in Washington Accord Stakeholders' Meeting - 1

On 22 February 2026, Dr. Rekha Shrestha, Dean of the School of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University (MTU), actively participated in the Washington Accord Stakeholders’ Meeting – 1. MTU SOE Represents Department at PUiCON 2026 with Research on GPS Tracker

The School of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University (MTU) proudly participated in the Purbanchal University International Conference (PUiCON) 2026, held under the theme “Shaping the Himalayan Future: Pathways to Sustainability and Development.”Ayusha Adhikari, representing the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, presented the research paper titled “GPS Tracker with Call and SMS Alert,” which has been published as part of the conference proceedings.The School extends its sincere gratitude to the paper’s supervisor for continuous guidance and mentorship, and to Purbanchal University for successfully organizing the first international conference in Nepal, providing an excellent platform for research, learning, and academic exchange.This participation reflects MTU SOE’s commitment to fostering research, innovation, and engagement with the global academic community.

MTU SOE Successfully Organizes 3-Day Seminar on Seismic Evaluation and Retrofitting

The School of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University (MTU), in collaboration with the Structural Engineers Association Nepal (SEANep), successfully organized a 3-day seminar on “Seismic Evaluation and Retrofitting of Unreinforced Masonry Buildings.”The seminar brought together engineers from academia, government ministries, industry, municipalities, consultancy firms, and individual practitioners. The sessions provided highly informative and practical knowledge-sharing on seismic evaluation, demand-capacity concepts, and various retrofitting measures.The School of Engineering extends its heartfelt gratitude to the key speaker, Dr. Jitendra Bothara, Director of Resipro International Engineer Limited, New Zealand, for his insightful contributions. Manmohan Technical University School of Engineering has appointed Er. Niswan Dhakal as the Chief of the Examination Section.In his new role, Er. Dhakal will oversee the examination processes, admission management, and student record keeping at the School of Engineering. He will ensure that examinations are conducted smoothly, student records are accurately maintained, and admission procedures are efficiently managed.Er. Dhakal, a dedicated faculty member, brings extensive academic and administrative experience to this position. His leadership is expected to enhance transparency, efficiency, and reliability in both examination management and the broader student academic administration system.The School of Engineering congratulates Er.
