Vibrant celebration of World Pharmacist Day at MTU

Manmohan Technical University (MTU) celebrates World Pharmacist Day on September 25, 2024 on theme "Pharmacist meeting global health needs". The event was marked with various activities and celebrations highlighting the crucial role of pharmacists in healthcare. The day began with a special assembly where the university's faculty and students gathered to acknowledge the contributions of pharmacists to society.The program was chaired by Mr. Saibijaya Rijal, Coordinator, Department of Pharmacy and welcome remark was extended by Mr. Atul Adhikari, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy. . We acknowledge the esteemed presence of our chief guest Registrar of MTU Dr. Dil Nath Fuel who delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of ethical and professional practices in pharmacy. Additionally, presence of guest Mr. Bhim Prasad Kafle, Controller of Examination Section and valuable participation of other staffs of Pharmacy Department as well as BPharm students enriched the event, fostering meaningful discussion regarding pharmacy practice in current scenario.

Dr Subarna Pokhrel, Enzyme Engineer, working as Research Manager of MH2 Biochemical in South Korea, delivered motivational speech to students of Bachelor of Pharmacy, Manmohan Technical University virtually and presented his research work in the company for new protein discovery.

T.B. Orientation Program

A Half Day Symposium on "Tuberculosis: Risk and Management" was organized by Department of Pharmacy, School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Manmohan Technical University. Mr. Dhurb lal Uranw, Chief Executive Offiicer, Nepal Anti-Tuberculosis Association (NATA), Morang, Biratnagar presented paper on the Historical Background of Tuberculosis. Poonam Bista, District Program Coordinator, Birat Nepal Medical Trust, Morang, Biratnagar highlighted about Tuberculosis its sign and symptoms. Govinda Majhi, TB Province Coordinator, Save the Children explained about Incidence and Prevalence of TB in different province level and Santosh Kumar Gupta, Province Team Leader, Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal provided insight on government facilities regarding diagnosis and treatment of Tuberculosis in Nepal. The program was chaired by Dr. Dipendra Shrestha, Coordinator, School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences and welcome remark was extended by Mr. SaiBijaya Rijal, Coordinator, Department of Pharmacy

Department welcomes Dr. Faruk Alam from Assam down town University.

Department of Pharmacy welcomes Dr. Faruk Alam, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Assam down town University as a part of faculty exchange program here at Manmohan Technical University (MTU). During his stay here at MTU Dr. Alam provided lecture and share his experience regarding pharmacy practice to B. Pharmacy Students.
